We had a pleasant time dinning here last week for my partner birthday! Their mixed drink was tasteful and appetizers were phenomenal. My hubby and our kid enjoyed their meal. I ordered the pasta with seafood (new to the menu apparently) and our amazing waiter boastfully said this one was a hit and people seem to love it. So I did have high expectations from our waiters feedback and recommendation. My meal didn’t meet the expectations I had, so I just ate my protein and focus on the good parts that of that moment.

What a fun spot! The atmosphere was welcoming, and incredibly comfortable. I sat upstairs sort of outside and loved the busy neighborhood vibe and nice breeze. The staff was fantastic — especially my server, Austin, who was attentive, accommodating, and made the experience even better. I took advantage of the happy hour offerings, which were both fabulous tasting and reasonably priced. Delightful oysters & poke bowl. I also loved their great selection of “dry bar” options for those of us enjoying alcohol-free choices. A perfect early dinner for a solo evening in Jax!

We had the most amazing experience at Gemma. Jean Luc prepared the such delicious oysters and Tori made a fabulous dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives. I didn’t get a photo of our traditional raw oysters, but here are some of the special preparations he created for our others. Best oysters we’ve had since moving from the West Coast, hands down!
